About At Peace Integrative Mental Health Clinic

Psychiatric medication management for children, teens, and adults, in person in Fargo and online across North Dakota and Minnesota

We are a private outpatient psychiatric practice built around steady, personal care, short wait times, and direct access to a provider who knows you.

What We Help With

We provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children, teens, and adults living with mental health conditions such as:

  • Anxiety, depression, and mood disorders

  • ADHD, OCD, and panic disorder

  • Bipolar disorder, psychosis, and schizophrenia

  • PTSD, sleep difficulties, and stress

  • Substance use and co-occurring conditions

Our focus is finding the right plan for you, then adjusting it over time.

Our Approach to Care

We treat the whole person, not just a diagnosis. Care begins with a thorough evaluation of your history and symptoms, and as part of that we order baseline labs to help rule out other medical causes for what you are experiencing.

From there we build a medication plan matched to you, using tools like pharmacogenomic (GeneSight) testing to help guide which medication may work best. We adjust thoughtfully based on how you respond, and we coordinate with your therapist or other providers so your care works as one plan.

Throughout, you get direct access to your provider and little to no wait to be seen, whether you visit us in Fargo or meet with us online.

What Makes Our Practice Different

Good psychiatric care should not require a long wait or a fight to be heard. That belief shapes how we work.

  • Care should be personal. You get a plan built around you, guided by tools like pharmacogenomic (GeneSight) testing, not a generic protocol.

  • Care should be accessible. Short wait times, often within the same week, in person in Fargo or online across North Dakota and Minnesota.

  • You should know your provider. You get direct access to the person treating you, not a rotating cast of names.

  • Expertise should feel human. Care is led by a board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner (PMHNP) who explains things clearly and treats you with respect.

  • Care should reach the whole family. We see children, teens, and adults, from age 5 and up.

  • Honesty should be safe. A judgment-free space where you can say what is really going on.

We built At Peace so that strong clinical care and genuine, accessible support are the same thing, not a trade-off.

Our Story

At Peace Integrative Mental Health Clinic was founded by Dr. Aminata Kamara, a board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner (PMHNP), to bring accessible, personal psychiatric care to North Dakota and Minnesota.

What began as a single-provider practice is growing into a team, so more people can be seen sooner and supported well. Our commitment has stayed the same: care without long waits, real access to your provider, and a plan built around you.
